Helen Liu, Board Member

Helen is currently Director of Global Specialty Lines at Intact Financial Corporation in Toronto. Prior to this role, she managed a national team within the Corporate Legal & Compliance function at Intact. Helen has been corporate in-house counsel at Intact, as well as at the Ministry of the Attorney General (Ontario) and at another large insurance company, since the beginning of her legal career in 2013 in Toronto. Beyond her day job, Helen is Co-Chair of Womentum, an employee network at Intact, and had been involved on the board of the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association – Ontario Chapter for a number of years, including as Chair. As well, Helen was previously a board member of Girls E-Mentorship, a charity focused on matching young women facing socioeconomic barriers with female leaders for mentorship. Helen obtained her joint civil law and common law degrees from the Faculty of Law at McGill University in 2013, and provides legal services in both English and French. She grew up in Montreal as an immigrant from China. Helen is passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion.
