Veronica Lopez, Board Member
Veronica Lopez Distefano is a highly accomplished finance leader and strategic business partner in the consumer-packaged goods industry. She is currently the Senior Director of Finance for Customer Development at Nestlé Canada, where she oversees the retail trade and e-commerce investment controllership for the largest food and beverages company in Canada. She has a proven track record of driving top and bottom-line results. Her experience includes controllership of the IT Zone Americas regional team, managing complex international, multi-currency finance operations. She played a key role in M&A execution such as the Starbucks Canada CPG merger and has been involved in high stakes customer negotiations. With a passion for efficient operations, she sponsored Lean office strategies and digital transformation. As a people leader, Veronica has led teams of over 30 finance members and led international teams having worked with members in Latin America, Europe, and Asia. As a senior finance leader, she has extensive expertise in audit and risk management, business strategy and KPI’s, M&A, accounting, financial reporting, change management, and talent development.
Veronica recently completed an Executive MBA in Global Leadership from Kellogg-Schulich Business Schools and holds a Public Accounting and a Business Administration degree from Universidad Nacional de Mar del Plata, Argentina. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
She has a keen interest in sustainability, women empowerment, and lifelong learning.
