Payroll Accounting Training
Equip yourself with the skills of understanding payroll. Learn how to calculate taxable earnings, deduct correct statutory withholdings (Income Tax, CPP and EI) and arrive at correct net pay. Discover how to deal with all the stakeholders involved with payroll – employees, employers, government agencies, insurance and pension companies, workers safety and insurance boards. The course will also cover federal and provincial payroll compliance legislation.

Payvand Gholami has a Bachelor of Statistics and MBA from Iran. She arrived in Canada in September 2013. She started a 2-year Accounting program in May 2014 at Seneca College and got her Diploma in August 2015. She participated in H&R Block classes in December 2015 and worked with H&R Block for 4 years during tax seasons. She got her first full-time job through Skills for Change and worked at Azmon Accounting. Payvand knew how to work with Quickbooks from Iran but at every workplace, she went to, they asked her for a 'certificate'. She took Skills for Change courses in Accounting Essentials, Payroll Accounting, and Quickbooks Online and received her certificates. She also studied to become a Payroll Compliance Practitioner with the National Payroll Institute. She has worked with five Accounting firms and runs her own businesses. She is also a registered Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). She is looking forward to imparting her knowledge and real-world experience in Payroll and Quickbooks to the students in the Career Skills program.
