A Recipe for Success: SFC’s Annual BBQ Celebrates Community and Connection

On Thursday, September 5th, Skills for Change came together for a summer tradition that’s all about connection, celebration, and community, our annual team BBQ.

This year’s gathering was extra special. Not only did our staff get the chance to pause, share a meal, and celebrate the incredible work accomplished so far in 2025, but we were also joined by some of our clients who had attended the Career Mentoring event earlier that day. Their presence added to the sense of purpose and joy, reminding us of the real impact of our collective efforts.

The afternoon was filled with laughter, great food, and the kind of energy that comes from being surrounded by colleagues and community. It was more than just a BBQ, it was a chance to reflect on the year’s successes, recharge as a team, and step into the final quarter with renewed excitement.

A huge thank you to everyone who made the day possible, and to everyone who brought their energy and smiles. Here’s to finishing the year strong, together!
