About the Program
You care about climate change. You care about your future. This program helps connect the two.
The Youth Climate Workforce Ambassador Program is a paid 6-week opportunity for youth to gain hands-on experience exploring climate action, community engagement, and pathways into the growing green economy.
Delivered in partnership with Skills for Change, the City of Toronto, and the Toronto Community Benefits Network (TCBN), this program empowers youth to build practical skills while contributing to real conversations about the future of green jobs and climate leadership in Toronto.

6-Week Paid Program
July 7th – August 13th 2026
10am – 4:30pm (20 hours each week)
Tuesdays, Wednesday & Thursdays
$25/hour

No. Previous experience is not required. The program is designed for youth who are interested in climate action, sustainability, community engagement, or exploring future green career pathways.

Yes. Participants will receive:
$25/hour
Approximately 20 hours per week
throughout the 6-week program.

The program runs:
July 7 – August 13, 2026
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Participants are expected to attend all scheduled sessions and activities.

The program will be delivered in person in Toronto. Participants may also take part in community events, workshops, and site visits throughout the program.

Yes. Participants who successfully complete the program will receive a certificate of completion.

To be eligible, applicants must:
Be between the ages of 16–29
Live in Toronto
Have an interest in sustainability, climate action, or community impact

The green economy includes industries and careers focused on sustainability, climate action, environmental innovation, and building healthier communities. This can include areas such as clean energy, green construction, urban agriculture, environmental policy, community outreach, and more.

Yes. The program is designed to help participants explore pathways into the growing green economy while connecting with professionals, organizations, and community leaders working in sustainability-related fields.
