Women in IT is a 20-week program that empowers women with education and/or experience in the technology sector by providing them training in Tech Sales and Accounting Management.

Requirements:

  • Applicants who identify as women and are 18 years of age or older, live in Toronto and recipients of Social Assistance from Ontario Works

  • Must be legally able to work in Canada

  • Speak English with a CLB level 6+

  • Past education and/or working experience in IT, Project Management, Tech Sales

  • Ability to complete the training and willingness to enter into employment and/or further education/training.

  • Agile Methodologies

  • MS Office Suite

  • Salesforce Power User Training

  • IT Sales 101

  • Business Administration Procedures

  • Business Writing & Communication

  • Employment Preparation

Program Duration:

20 weeks – 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (3:00 – 5:00pm one-on-one counselling, as needed)

Includes 6 weeks unpaid job placement (post training); 6 months post-program support
