Skills for Employment
The Skills for Employment is a 2-week service designed to help you achieve your dream job and market yourself toward success! From resume building to interview preparation these weekly employment workshops will equip you with the tools you need to get hired.
The employment workshops are for job-ready individuals. They are held weekly at East Regional Hub and Employment Services West locations. The employment workshops include:
• Resume and Cover Letter optimization
• Linkedin optimization
• Personal Branding
• Job Search with AI tools (ChatGPT)
• Interview Preparation
• Workplace Rights and Performance
Your job is out there. We'll help you find it.

• Live in the Greater Toronto Area;
• One of the following citizen statuses:
Permanent resident
Work permit valid for at least 3 months from the current date
Conventional refugee
Canadian citizenship
Ukrainians under the CUAET program (all professions). All Ukrainian temporary residents and their dependents in Canada are deemed eligible.
Ineligible individuals:
International students;
Temporary foreign workers.

One of the following employment statuses:
Currently unemployed;
Working less than 20 hours per week;
Working in a survival job (temporary job unrelated to education or career).
Exceptions:
For clients working over 20 hours, exceptions may apply (e.g., UBER drivers).
Agency Registration:
When you sign up for this program, you become a Skills for Change client, and cannot simultaneously be registered with another employment agency.
If you've participated in a previous program, please request the closure of the previous agency file before enrolling in Skills for Change.
