Skills for Change Partners with the Institute for Canadian Citizenship to Enhance Immigrant Integration through Canoo Access Pass and Volunteer Initiatives

Toronto, ON, November 23, 2023 – Skills for Change and the Institute for Canadian Citizenship are excited to announce a new partnership aimed at supporting the integration and success of newcomers to Canada. This collaboration will feature relevant and key content and information on our programs and joint initiatives.

This partnership represents a significant step in providing enhanced resources and opportunities for immigrants. The ICC”s Canoo Access Pass, known for its role in aiding newcomers in exploring and appreciating Canadian culture, will now feature content and resources from Skills for Change, a leader in helping immigrants adapt to life in Canada. Together, Skills for Change and the Institute for Canadian Citizenship will develop volunteer-led initiatives focused on facilitating community engagement, cultural exchange, and practical support for immigrants. These initiatives are designed to foster a sense of belonging and promote the diverse talents that newcomers bring to Canadian society.

“Partnering with the Institute for Canadian Citizenship allows us to extend our reach and impact in the immigrant community," says Surranna Sandy, CEO of Skills for Change. "Through the Canoo app and our volunteer programs, we aim to enrich the immigrant experience in Canada."

"As an organization that helps newcomers grow their incomes and become more established in Canada, Skills for Change is a natural ally of ours", says Bernhard, CEO of the Institute for Canadian Citizenship. "This partnership advances our shared goal of making Canada a place where newcomers don't just arrive, but stay, become citizens, and contribute fully to our shared success."

We are excited about this new collaboration. Look for more information on joint initiatives soon!
