Support Our Work

For over 40 years, Skills for Change has helped newcomers and underserved communities build skills, access opportunities, and thrive in Canada. Through employment, settlement, language training, mentorship, entrepreneurship and other programs, we support newcomers, refugees, women, youth and seniors, while working with Canadian employers to build welcoming and equitable communities.

Our vision is a Canada where everyone has equal opportunities to succeed, personally and professionally. Our mission is to strengthen skills, expand opportunities and improve access to good work for newcomers and underserved groups across the country.

We bring this mission to life through holistic, client-centred services, strong partnerships and programs that respond to the needs of communities and employers. We also contribute to sector conversations on immigration, employment and inclusion, bringing the experiences of the people we serve into discussions that shape their futures.

Together, we work to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity, helping people build meaningful careers and a sense of belonging in Canada.
