Skills for Change Announces Interim Leadership Update
Skills for Change (SfC) announces an update on the organization’s interim leadership structure as part of our ongoing commitment to transparency, continuity, and strong stewardship.
Effective Monday, May 4, 2026, the Board of Directors appointed Nidhi Khanna and Sampada Kukade as Interim Co‑CEOs to guide Skills for Change.
This interim leadership model has been put in place to ensure continuity across operations, strong financial stewardship, and steady strategic direction while the Board conducts a search for a new Chief Executive Officer. During this time, Skills for Change remains fully operational, with no disruption to programs, services, or partnerships.
With many years of experience at Skills for Change, Nidhi and Sampada bring deep knowledge of the organization, our mission, and the communities we serve. This shared leadership approach builds on the strong momentum already established and supports continued growth, collaboration, and national impact.
“Skills for Change has always been driven by its people and its purpose,” said Nidhi Khanna, Interim Co‑CEO. “Our focus during this transition is to ensure stability, continuity, and meaningful impact for the communities, partners, and clients who place their trust in us.”
Throughout this period, Skills for Change will continue to be guided by its commitment to advancing economic inclusion and supporting newcomers and equity‑deserving communities across Canada.
“This moment is about sustaining progress while continuing to think boldly about our future,” said Sampada Kukade, Interim Co‑CEO. “We are deeply committed to working closely with our partners and communities to build on what we’ve achieved together.”
Skills for Change is grateful for the ongoing trust and partnership of our clients, community organizations, funders, and supporters, and we look forward to continued collaboration in the months ahead.
