The Bright Futures Youth Program is designed to support youth in exploring diverse career and education pathways.
BFYP is tailored for multi-barriered youth aged 15–30 including but not limited to newcomer youth, black youth, racialized youth, indigenous youth, LGBTQ+ youth, and youth from low-income families.
The program offers equitable access to skill-building opportunities, hands-on experiences, and mentorship to empower participants in shaping a successful future.
Features
Paid Training
3 weeks of paid employment services including 1 week of sector specific career exploration to build foundational skills and labour market knowledge.
Job Placement
6-week paid job placement in the sector of choice, offering real-world experience.
Career Support
Comprehensive career pathway exploration, career counseling, and resume building to prepare youth for long-term success.
Completion Bonus
Completion bonus for participants who complete the full 3 weeks ES/EST in addition to the 6-week quality employment opportunity.
Holistic Supports
Access to mentorship, mental health counseling, dependent care support, and networking opportunities to help youth who have struggled to find a job.

The program consists of three weeks of paid employment services, one week of sector-specific career exploration, followed by a six-week paid job placement.

Yes, participants will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the program, recognizing their training and work experience.

No prior experience is required. The program is designed to provide foundational skills and career exploration for youth at all levels.

Cohort 1 begins on April 7, 2025, and additional cohorts will continue until March 13, 2026. Recruitment is ongoing.
