Skills for Change Launches Arrive Ready Program to Support Newcomers Before Arrival

PRESS RELEASE

Toronto, Ontario
June 2, 2025

Skills for Change is proud to announce the launch of Arrive Ready, a new pre-arrival program funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), designed to support newcomers to Canada before they land. Launching today, Arrive Ready offers tailored services to help immigrants prepare for life and work in Canada.

The program provides a range of resources, including settlement information, employment preparation, and language support, all accessible online. By connecting with participants prior to their arrival, Arrive Ready aims to ease the transition and set newcomers up for success from day one.

Arrive Ready closes the gap between aspiration and opportunity,” said Surranna Sandy, CEO of Skills for Change. “By equipping newcomers with settlement, employment, and language tools before they board the plane, we shorten their runway to success, strengthen Canada’s workforce from day one, and reaffirm our commitment to an inclusive, prosperous future for all.”

Arrive Ready is part of Skills for Change’s ongoing commitment to empowering immigrants and refugees through innovative programs and services.
