Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare all company baked goods for customers, clients, and wholesale
  • Produce high volumes of baked goods with recipe accuracy and consistency
  • Execute all food preparation while following safe food handling procedures
  • Receive deliveries and assist with correct ingredient storage and restocking
  • Clean, sanitize and maintain kitchen equipment and food production spaces
  • Complete all daily and production tasks assigned by Kitchen Manager in a timely manner
  • Maintain a fast pace while producing large scale bakes
  • Ensure that all daily opening and closing duties of the kitchen and work area are completed correctly and that cleanliness and maintenance are maintained daily

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of kitchen experience / commercial baking experience/ or education in culinary studies
  • Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards in the kitchen
  • Self-motivated and work well independently or with a small team
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask when required
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Cake decorating skills (an asset)
  • Interest in the health + wellness community and/or knowledge about Paleo/natural baking (a major plus, but not mandatory!)
  • Food Handlers certification is an asset

Position

Full-Time, 35-44 hrs per week *preferred
Part-Time, 24-36 hrs per week
Availability to work mornings, afternoons, and weekends as required
