Assistant Baker

Duties and Responsibilities
 Assist with preparation of all company baked goods for customers, clients, and
 Assist with high volumes of baked goods with recipe accuracy and consistency
 Execute all food preparation while following safe food handling procedures as per
 Receive deliveries and assist with correct ingredient storage and restocking
 Clean, sanitize and maintain kitchen equipment and food production spaces
 Complete daily production lists assigned by Kitchen Manager in a timely manner
 Ensure that all daily opening and closing duties of the kitchen and work area are
completed correctly and that cleanliness and maintenance are maintained daily
Requirements and Qualifications
 Passion for baking and keen interest of expanding baking skills to a professional
commercial level
 Knowledge of hygiene and food safety standards in the kitchen (Food Handler’s
certification is an asset)
 Self-motivated and work well independently or with a small team
 Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask
when required
 Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
 Decorating skills (an asset)
 Interest in the health + wellness community and/or knowledge about Paleo/natural
baking (a major plus, but not mandatory!)
 Food Handlers certification is an asset

Full-Time, 35-44 hrs per week *preferred
Part-Time, 24-36 hrs per week
Availability to work mornings, afternoons, and weekends as required
