JOIN US first for a 2-hour workshop on networking for newcomer entrepreneurs and small business followed by our information session providing details on how to sign up for our FREE 10-week entrepreneurship training program for permanent residents and convention refugees. Networking is an invaluable skill to help you start a new business, grow your business, find a mentor, form meaningful partnerships, meet vendors, and obtain funding for your business. Join Jean Chow, the acclaimed business coach and mentor as she guides you through the steps needed to become a better networker. In this workshop, you will learn how to improve your networking skills to help your small business succeed while developing and maintaining a strong professional business network.
Speaker Bio: As a serial entrepreneur, Jean is currently focused on her successful professional coaching practice, aptly known on social media as @MsBizWiz. Born and raised in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Jean has lived and worked in Africa and Asia on international aid projects. She also invented Asian DIY (do-it-yourself) meal kits and led her wholesale food manufacturing business for 14 years (1992-2006) followed by her residency at the Toronto Public Library as the second “Entrepreneur-in-Residence” in 2013. Jean’s superpower is her ability “to connect the seemingly unconnected.” With her interactive networking workshops, she has engaged and energized diverse audiences across the GTA. Jean is also a part-time instructor at the University of Toronto and a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Medal for her volunteer work with young entrepreneurs.
