Join us to discuss different mental health issues, tips on how to address them and to gain support for your unique circumstances
This one hour self-help workshop covers different mental health issues, tips on how to address them and will allow you to gain support for your unique circumstances. As this is a discussion-focused workshop, the facilitator will take care to foster a safe space that honours confidentiality. By the end of the workshop, you will hopefully find new motivation to make lasting changes in your life that help you improve your overall mental wellbeing.
About the speaker:
David Cohen has worked as a Peer Support Worker for ten years and has considerable experience facilitating mental health workshops. He particularly enjoys the group dynamic in his workshops and having the privilege to hear about participants’ life experiences.
David is very passionate about teaching life skills to people with mental health issues, particularly to those who have had trouble accessing mental health resources in the past. He additionally puts emphasis on not only ‘talking the talk’ but also ‘walking the walk’ by practicing the self-care techniques he teaches in his workshops as well as incorporating good nutrition and exercise into his daily life.
